Biography
Dr. Rajesh Kumari, DSc, RDN, FAND is a registered dietitian nutritionist, trained integrative and functional medicine clinical nutritionist and LEAP certified practitioner. She completed her BS and MS in Nutrition from India, completed her dietetic internship and graduate training with Saint Elizabeth University, New Jersey and received her Doctorate of Science degree through Hawthorn University, California. Dr. Kumari has received advanced training in Weight Management through Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has also worked on several clinical nutrition research projects including preliminary clinical trial on multi model nutrition intervention for Tourette Syndrome while leading team of clinical dietitians at Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health System and Atlantic Health System. Additionally, an educator at heart, she has taught for over 10 years as adjunct nutrition science professor at Saint Elizabeth University and served as Advisory Board Member for Nutra Source Dietetic Internship Program and subject matter expert on medical nutrition therapy for New Jersey Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Recently, Dr. Kumari nominated by the Academy to serve on the Agency for the healthcare research quality national advisory council.
Dr. Kumari has conducted dozens of local and national public presentations for nutritionists and nurses. She has authored peer reviewed articles for scientific journals, local newspaper and wellness magazine including Edible Jersey.
Dr. Kumari is the owner of Holistic Nutrition for Healing, an integrative medicine-based nutrition wellness practice, focused to provide comprehensive nutrition assessment, address the root causes of disease to restore optimal health and function, utilize the most effective integrative and functional nutrition diagnostic tools and treatment protocols for preventing and reversing chronic illnesses.
